Job Description

JobEgy is looking for a Locum Nurse Practitioner – GP Surgery (NP) to work for a GP practice in Darlaston. This role is ideal for a confident and autonomous Nurse Practitioner who can manage minor illness clinics, same-day demand and routine patient assessments within a structured primary care setting.

You will deliver NP-led clinics, assess and manage a broad range of presentations and contribute to efficient patient flow. The practice offers clear session frameworks, strong administrative support and a collaborative clinical team to ensure smooth and manageable sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering independent minor illness and same-day NP clinics
  • Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations
  • Providing telephone triage and appropriate clinical streaming
  • Prescribing safely within scope where qualified
  • Reviewing test results, medication queries and follow-up actions
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Nurses and wider clinical staff

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant postgraduate training
  • Independent Prescribing qualification desirable
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or community settings
  • Strong autonomous clinical decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
  • Enhanced DBS

Working Pattern

  • Flexible sessions available up to 4 days per week
  • Morning and afternoon clinics
  • Ongoing and long-term booking options
